I’m excited to share that Amelia Childress has joined the Increase team. She’ll be helping us with strategic, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Amelia spent a decade leading compliance for Square, Cash App, and Block across multiple stages of their journey. She knows how to navigate complex situations in highly regulated settings.
This is a perfect fit for Increase. Compliance has been a top priority from day one. We build compliance directly into our products, rather than treating it as something to tack on later. We believe this results not only in safer products, but in better products overall.
Reliability is a big part of why users choose Increase. Certainly that reliability includes things like API uptime or the ability to reconcile your money to the cent and to the second. It also means you can trust we’re doing everything correctly. You can double-click on every detail and know it will meet the standard you expect.
There’s no way to deliver on our promise of reliability—much less to build an enduring global financial institution—without being great at compliance.
I sat down with Amelia Childress and Jeff Sorensen to discuss all things compliance, including:
- Why compliance has commercial value
- The differences between a compliance policy and a compliance program
- Why “everyone else is doing it” is not a sufficient risk assessment
Plus a lot more. I hope you enjoy listening!
Welcome to the team, Amelia. We’re thrilled to have you with us.
